Just a little local thing, but I quite like it.
Played some new artists today, Deb Talan, Big Strong girl. She is an amazingly talented musician that writes, performs and produces all of her own music. She has been writing songs since she was 10 years old. debtalan.com
Florence and the Machine, Kiss with a fist. She is hilarious and writes music when she is either drunk or hungover. I can totally relate as I once wrote a sonnet to Ambien, while riding it. Florenceandthemachine.net
Pink - Because she is brave and fierce. Beautiful and she’s a little shit. I love Glitter in the air. It is so raw. She’s not new, but da girl be fresh.
If you want to really jam you’ve got to check out Big Sam’s Funky Nation. He is from Louisiana and that boy is kiss ass take names big time show! I may need a new free card if he keeps working that horn the way he does. Damn!

I have a 13 year old sitter here today in an effort to entertain the girls while I work. Translation... My house is trashed.
Heather just came to me and said “Mom, we need a ladder.”
Me: “It sounds dangerous”
Heather: “Mom, its fine, we tested it with a brick”

I look at her and ask, “How did I get so lucky?”
She looks back and says: “I just asked God... Who can I make so lucky and happy forever? And we decided it would be you.”

Heather: “Now will you help us with a ladder?”

Me: “No”

So... Its been awhile. About a month ago I did wrote some entries. It was quite a bit actually and it felt great. Then I did a restart on my computer and exed out of my program without saving anything. Note to self... Click publish button
Here’s the deal, I know more now about where I want to go. Its exciting and wonderful and scary. So what do I do with my personal blog?
Guess I’ll keep it up. Its a great discipline. And Lord knows I need some discipline.

Today I had the rare opportunity to be entirely alone. Everyone out all night doing various life stuff. So, I got to sleep alone, get up alone, putter alone!
I lit a fire this morning while I went through an ass load of tax papers. Cleaned all that crap up that’s been keeping me up at night.
I worked out, had a salad for lunch and only worried about what I wanted to eat.
Then out for along, easy jog.
Everything is so simple, but I don’t want it every day. I miss my noisy, needy, messy tribe.
